Here is the last part of my favourite tracks list. I knew when I first started doing my lists that it would be really difficult to narrow it down to just 24 tracks… I never learn! As this is the dessert course, I was wrestling with the idea of either choosing downtempo chilled tracks, or thinking let’s go dancey. This has more of the latter, and ends on a chilled vibe. As I complete this blog I realise there are at least another 50 tracks I could have added.

16. New Order – Blue Monday

This track needs no introduction. I will always remember the very first time I went to Bang Face (neo rave night) this was the first track that was pounding out of the speakers in the second room at Electrowerkz and the atmosphere was electric. It was an explosion of neon, whistles & people having a wicked night. Blue Monday will always remind me of that night, it was so much fun.

17. Full Force – Ain’t My Type Of Hype

Kid n Play – House Party. One of my favourite films and I absolutely LOVE this tune because it takes me to a happy place. As soon as I hear this tune I have to dance.

18. Bassbin Twins – ESW

One of my favourite training tracks, it’s a good one for skipping to because of the 134 BPM . Enjoy the Breaks wobbly goodness!

19. Elite Force – Engine

I have seen Elite Force (Simon Shackleton) at various Breaks nights over the years and always have a great night. This is another favourite training tune, has to be listened to loud. It’s a crowd pleasing stomper.

19. Stanton Warriors – Still Here

Another Breaks track. I always have a sing along to this whenever I hear it. I am a big Stanton Warriors fan and even considered getting their logo tattooed at one point so I would get free entry to their nights (this is an actual thing that happens). Hahaha!

20. Sucker DJs – Lotta Lovin’ (Paradise Soul remix)

Released in 2004, this is an absolute CHOON! The intro is long and lasts 2 mins but it’s so worth it as the build up is great, and if you hear this in a club or party, when the tune kicks in you will be whooping with your arms in the air and dancing like mad. Sorry, I meant to say I am whooping with my arms in the air. I have danced many times in clubs to this track and also ended up playing it in Thailand at a friend’s birthday party and started chatting to someone about how we both loved this track so much. Has many happy memories.

21. Planet Funk – Chase The Sun

Planet Funk are an Italian Electronic band and have some great tracks which are regular plays such as ‘Who Said’ and ‘Inside All The People’. Chase The Sun was their first single released in 2001 and I still play it a few times a week.

22. Kings of Tomorrow – Faded (Sandy Rivera Classic Mix)

A House track with amazing vocals by Kandace Springs, gives me goose bumps. Another difficult choice from Kings of Tomorrow as ‘Fall For You’ is another amazing tune. Okay, I am going to have to call this a draw between the two.

23. Sade – By Your Side

I couldn’t end my list without having a Sade track. This song from the Lovers Rock album is so beautiful. I’m not planning on having a first dance at my wedding, this track may make me change my mind… although I will most likely burst into tears due to how emotional I will be and not sure I want to spend the evening with make up all dribbled down my face.

“You think I’d leave your side, baby

You know me better than that

You think I’d leave you down when you’re down on your knees

I wouldn’t do that”

It’s got me bawling already as I listen to this, and I’m just sitting on my sofa.

24. Massive Attack – The Spoils

One of my favourite bands, from my hometown. There are so many great tracks to choose from. The vocals are by Hope Sandoval, singer from another fave band of mine – Mazzy Star. It’s a dreamy, beautiful song.
